Our story
Founded from real experience
Riskora was founded by Simon Archbold to solve a problem familiar to site teams: safety documents need to be produced quickly, but they still have to be clear, structured, reviewable and professionally defensible.
Simon's background combines archaeological fieldwork, biological anthropology, forensic osteology and engineering-related site experience across London and the South East of England. His work has involved practical project environments where accurate documentation, risk awareness, methodical planning and clear communication are essential.
He holds a BA in Archaeology & Biological Anthropology and an MSc in Forensic Osteology, is CIfA registered, and has held practical site and safety-related certifications including CSCS, IPAF, PASMA and forklift licensing. His previous experience as a police officer also shaped Riskora's emphasis on records, accountability, version control and defensible decision-making.
Riskora was built to help teams create clearer, faster and more structured safety documents — while keeping competent-person review, sign-off and professional judgement at the centre of the process.
The problem we saw
Most subcontractors, site managers and small builders write the same RAMSdocument a dozen times a year. They start from a Word template a friend sent over, copy-paste hazards from a previous job, and hope the principal contractor doesn't ask hard questions.
The new wave of "AI RAMS generators" made it worse — they produce confident-sounding text that misses statutory hazards, invents non-existent regulations, and leaves the user legally exposed.
A RAMS isn't a writing exercise. It's a structured safety document with specific legal expectations. So we built it that way.
