- Does the RAMS name the SAP / AP?
- Yes — Senior Authorised Person / Authorised Person is a required field for electrical / gas work and gets printed on the RAMS with authorisation reference.
- How is HSG47 handled?
- Service search, CAT & Genny scan, hand-dig 500mm around known services and record-drawing references are all written into the excavation method.
- What about live-working?
- Live-working is only permitted where dead-working is impracticable and the risk is justified. The RAMS forces this justification and requires the arc-rated PPE and safe-distance controls to be stated.
- Does it cover gas work?
- Yes — GS6, purging, gas-free certification, ignition control and emergency escalation to the gas transporter are included when gas is on the brief.
