About Riskora
Riskora was built from real site experience
Riskora was created to make safety documentation faster, clearer and easier to manage — without removing the need for competent-person review, site-specific judgement or proper sign-off.
The platform was built by Simon Archbold, whose background combines archaeology, forensic osteology, engineering-related site work, safety training and operational experience across small to large projects in London and the South East of England.

Why this platform exists
Built by someone who understands site documentation
Safety documents are not just paperwork. They are working records used to communicate risks, controls, responsibilities, methods, site conditions and safe systems of work. When they are unclear, scattered across folders or copied from old jobs without thought, real problems follow — rejected RAMS, confused briefings, missing sign-off, and version mix-ups that nobody can explain after the fact.
Simon's background spans field archaeology, biological anthropology, forensic osteology, engineering-related site projects, operational policing, and a range of practical site and safety certifications. These environments may look different, but they share the same underlying requirements: accuracy, clear records, evidence-quality documentation, procedural discipline, risk awareness, accountability, version control, sign-off and defensible decision-making.
Riskora was built to bring that mindset into the day-to-day work of producing safety documents.
Founder
Simon Archbold
Riskora was founded by Simon Archbold after years of working in environments where documentation, risk awareness and clear procedures matter. His work has included small to large site-based and engineering-related projects across London and the South East of England, alongside specialist academic training in archaeology, biological anthropology and forensic osteology.

Why that experience shaped Riskora
The same RAMS and method statement gets written, rewritten and adapted dozens of times a year on most sites. Information lives in scattered Word documents, inconsistent folders, email threads and personal drives. Reviewers spend time checking the format instead of the safety. Versions get confused. Sign-off evidence is patchy. The next site visit is documented from memory.
Riskora is built around those real problems — repeated document creation, adapting similar documents for new sites, keeping records organised, avoiding inconsistent quality, making sign-off clearer, keeping versions traceable, and producing professional documents quickly without losing review discipline.
Riskora is designed to help teams move from scattered Word documents, copied templates and inconsistent document storage to a more structured workflow: create, review, sign off, download, share and archive.

Built for speed, but not shortcuts
Riskora is designed to make safety documentation faster, but not careless. The platform helps structure information, highlight missing details, create professional drafts and support review workflows. Final checks, suitability decisions and approval should always be completed by a competent person familiar with the work, site and risks involved.
Riskora does not replace a competent person, safety consultant, legal adviser or site-specific assessment. It supports the documentation process so teams can work faster, keep better records and manage safety documents more consistently.
Why structured documentation matters
Clearer documents are easier to brief
When risks, controls and methods are written in a consistent structure, site teams can be briefed quickly and accurately.
Clear controls reduce ambiguity
Defined controls leave less room for interpretation in the moment — particularly during handovers and shift changes.
Version history shows what changed and when
A documented version trail makes it easier to explain updates to reviewers, principal contractors and clients.
Sign-off records evidence the review
Recorded sign-off makes it clear who approved a document, on which version, and when.
Project storage makes retrieval easy
Documents kept against the right project are far easier to retrieve during audits, site visits and follow-up jobs.
Professional downloads improve client confidence
Cleanly formatted, branded documents reflect the standard of the work behind them.
Better documentation supports safer work — it does not guarantee compliance or prevent incidents on its own.
