Why a generic construction RAMS would fail. Common Mistakes (and How to Avoid Them)

1. Re-using last season's RAMS without site-specific review

Why it fails: Ground conditions, contamination history and PC interfaces change site to site. CIfA standards require the assessment to be specific to this project, not the previous one.

Fix: Carry the structure forward, but rewrite hazards and controls against the desk-based assessment, the geotechnical / contamination reports and the PC's site rules for the new site.
